A Film Estonia’s very own „The Little Short-sighted
Snake” (2006), a short film for children of all ages,
was based on Andry Ervald’s children story, written
by Aina Järvine and directed by Aina Järvine and
Meelis Arulepp. It has had great success in Estonia, having
been released in theatres and also shown on Estonian National
Television Station ETV. The little short-sighted snake Kaabriel
and his two-legged friend It have travelled from festival
to festival in 2006 and there is hope that in the future their
adventures shall continue on TV-screen. |

A Film Estonia’s second very own short “If
I Were a Grown-up” (2006), was adapted from a famous
Hugarian children’s book by Èva Janikovszky.
The short film tells the story of a five year old Danny, who
finds himself with a bundle of problems in the grown-up world.
Where is the line between good and bad and why is it that
this line is in a totally different place for kids than it
is for grown-ups?
This short for toddlers is also a basis for future TV-series,
which are in pre-development stage right now in 2006. |
